Kielce, 9 February 1949. Marian Poniewierka from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Stefan Młodawski, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:
Name and surname | Stanisław Plewniak |
Parents’ names | Antoni and Antonina |
Age | 66 years old |
Place of birth | Zaryszyn, Miechów district |
Religious affiliation | Roman Catholic |
Occupation | doorkeeper |
Place of residence | Kielce, Nowy Świat Street 61 |
Dur | ing the German occupation, from 1943 to 1944, I worked as a doorkeeper in the Henryków |
factory. I know, because I saw with my own eyes, how the Germans hanged a Jew in the yard of Henryków factory for burning down the warehouses. I know neither the surname of the hanged Jew nor the surnames of those who carried out the execution.
Outside the factory premises, some three meters from the fence, the Germans shot two Jews whose surnames I don’t know either.
I would like to add that in 1942 the Germans ordered Jews to hang nine Poles, and in following the order, the Jews executed them on the premises of the Henryków factory. Among the victims there were the Fornalskis, father and son, both residents of Piaski Street in Kielce. I don’t know any other surnames of the hanged Poles.
I have nothing more to add.
At this point the report was concluded, read out and signed.
