Kielce, 12 November 1948, 11.30 a.m. Marian Poniewierka from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Edward Pękalski, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

On Whit Sunday in 1943 my brother, a resistance fighter, was in Stanisław Kubicki’s flat in Barwinek (district of Kielce) together with his friends. They were surrounded by the gendarmes, but my brother managed to escape; he was only wounded in the right jaw.
On the next day, my brother went to the hospital in Kielce and was captured there. He was probably executed in the prison yard in Kielce, and later his body was transported to the Jewish cemetery in Kielce.
When the Red Army entered, the body was uncovered and identified as my brother.
