Kielce, 5 August 1948, 11.00 a.m. Marian Poniewierka from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Stefan Młodawski, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

In 1944, my husband Czesław Makowski worked in a locksmith’s workshop. Also in 1944, in July, he was executed by the German gendarmerie. The German gendarmerie arrived on 23 June 1944 and surrounded the house, and one of them, who had my husband on the list, entered the flat. At that moment my husband jumped out of the window, but he was caught by the gendarme and taken to the prison in Kielce.
My husband had been a member of the underground Home Army since 1940.
The execution by shooting was carried out on 6 July 1944 at the Stadium in Kielce. The victims were brought from Kielce prison. My husband was accused of membership of an underground organization. The execution was carried out in retaliation, as one gendarme had been killed in Bodzentyńska Street. The execution was carried out by the gendarmerie and the Gestapo. I do not know the surnames of the perpetrators.
The corpses were buried at the Stadium in Kielce and have been presently transferred to the cemetery of resistance fighters in Kielce.
