SŁOMKA TOMASZ

Kielce, 3 July 1948 at 8.00 a.m. Stefan Młodawski from the Investigative Office of the Citizens’ Militia in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Zygmunt Winter, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

Name and surname Tomasz Słomka
Parents’ names Wincenty and Antonina, née Jasińska
Age 55 years old
Place of birth Chmielnik
Religious affiliation Roman Catholic
Occupation shoemaker
Place of residence Kielce, Żelazna Street 11

In 1943 I was arrested by the Gestapo. Jan Bulrski, Antoni Miernik, Stanisław Podolski were arrested on the same day and we were all put in the same cell. After ten days, at night, Miernik and Podolski were taken by the Gestapo for "examination." They returned after a few hours, severely beaten.

On 24 October 1943 at 10.00 a.m. the Gestapo-men arrived in cars and took them away. Led out of their cell, they were tied up in the corridor and driven away in a car.

I learned from new prisoners that Bularski, Podolski and Miernik had been executed in Słowik for their clandestine activities.

At this point the report was concluded, read out and signed.
