In Chełmce on this day, 17 November 1948, at 4.30 p.m., I, officer Witold Moszczyński from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Piekoszów, heard the person named below as a witness, having first advised the said of the criminal liability for making false declarations, pursuant to the provisions of Article 140 of the Penal Code, and of the right to refuse testimony for the reasons stated in Article 104 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, whereupon the witness stated:

| As regards the present case, I | am aware of the following facts: On 14 December 1942 at |
around 10.00 a.m. three gendarmes arrived from Łopuszno to detain Julian Piec, resident in Chełmce, for he had run away from the camp for youth laborers. Upon seeing the gendarmes, Julian Piec tried to escape towards the cemetery. The gendarmes noticed him, however, and fired off a few shots from their rifles in his direction, wounding him in the back. One of the gendarmes then approached the wounded Julian Piec and fired three more rounds into him. I was an eyewitness to this incident.
