On 10 January 1948, in Bodzentyn, Investigative Judge Tadeusz Nyga from the Investigation Department in Kielce, with the participation of reporter Stanisław Salwa, interviewed the person named below as an unsworn witness. Having advised the witness of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as of the significance of the oath, the judge took an oath from her in accordance with the provisions of Article [missing data] of the Code of Criminal Procedure, after which the witness testified as follows:

On 9 March [19]44, at 4:00 AM, German gendarmes came to my house and took my husband, whom they told right away to get dressed. While he was getting dressed the children started to cry, and the gendarmes said he would be back soon. Very soon after they took my husband to the police station, shots could be heard; I rushed where the shot sounds came from and I noticed my husband was shot in the leg and arm, so I took him to the barn. Later, he was taken to the hospital in Kielce. After 3 days, he died in the hospital and was buried in a cemetery in Kielce. The perpetrators’ names: Giering (a German), Police Commander Grubin, and Police Officer Nowacki; I don’t remember anymore names.
