On 24 May 1947 at the Samopomoc Chłopska [Peasant’s Mutual Aid] headquarters in Pińczów, Judge Michał Gallewicz interviewed the person named below as an unsworn witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and the wording of Article 107 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the witness testified as follows:

I know that two people by the name of Borkowski died in Krzyżanowice, but they weren’t killed by the Germans. However, in connection to that execution, a certain Sarna and his entire family were later killed by the Germans. Later, there were shootings, among other things, in which several dozen people were also killed. Krzyżanowice is divided into several separate villages, and that usually took place in Krzyżanowice-Gacki. I think that the village administrator […] could say something about it. I can only say that at the time of the occupation a certain Franciszek Wojtasik came to live in Bogucice. He was 26 years old, he spoke German to his wife, his daughter kept going out with Germans, and Germans would be sitting around in his school all the time. When the guerillas went after him, he fled Bogucice together with his family, and that was even before the Germans left the village.
