FRANCISZEK HERMAN

Kielce, 7 November 1948. Marian Poniewierka from the Citizens’ Militia Station in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Edward Pękalski, heard the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

Name and surname Franciszek Herman
Parents’ names Franciszek and Apolonia
Date and place of birth 4 November 1901, Gnojno, Stopnica district
Religious affiliation Roman Catholic
Occupation laborer
Place of residence Kielce, Marszałkowska Street 30
Relationship to the parties none

I know that Antoni Adamczyk (deceased) and his friends, Jan Motyka and Tadeusz Przybylski, while walking in the direction of the Warsaw Uprising (as they had been summoned by insurgent central headquarters), on the way were caught in possession of weapons by German Gestapo men in the wood in Mazur (a part of Kielce); they also had medical field-dressings.

Shortly afterwards, that is on 10 August 1944, they were executed at the Stadium in Kielce.

I have nothing more to add.
