Kielce, 15 May 1948. Jan Zielono from the Investigative Office of the Citizens’ Militia in Kielce, with the participation of court reporter Zygmunt Winter, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations and of the wording of Article 140 of the Penal Code, the witness testified as follows:

On 14 October 1943, I, along with Jan Bularski, Antoni Miernik, Stanisław Podolski and Jaskulski was arrested by the Gestapo. We were all taken as hostages and incarcerated in the prison in Kielce. On 23 October 1943 Miernik, Podolski and others were taken for "examination" after which they were brought back to their cell.
The following day, that is, on 24 October 1943, before dinner, Gestapo men, accompanied by some gendarmes, arrived in cars and led the men out of their cell into the corridor where they were tied up with string. Thrust into Gestapo cars, they drove away and never returned. After the arrival of new hostages we learned that they had been killed in Słowik. The Germans accused them of clandestine activities.
I remember that the following men: Władysław [Maech], Józef Janyst, Kazimierz Polak, Tadeusz Głuszek, Bronisław Niesiołowski were imprisoned in the adjacent cell and were also accused of clandestine activities.
