Volunteer Zofia Drzyzgiewicz, born on 6 April 1923, student.
I was deported on 13 April 1940.
North Kazakhstan Oblast, Oktyabrsk region, Semipolka village. A poor kolkhoz. The USSR didn’t support us at all. Our livelihood depended on our own work.
Nationalities: Polish, Ukrainian, of average cultural level. The Poles lived hand in glove, helping one another at work and offering comfort.
The local authorities were hostile towards us and tried to convince us that Poland was lost.
There wasn’t any medical assistance; I don’t remember the number or surnames of the deceased.
Following my departure for the army, I didn’t receive any messages from my mother who was in the same kolkhoz.
