On 22 July 1943, the Germans, acting in retaliation for the killing in Garbatka on the previous day of one Volksdeutscher, surrounded the village of Molendy and shot dead 10 young men whom they found in their houses. The Germans announced that they had committed this act because the residents of Molendy were giving shelter and food to bandits. I know nothing else.
