On 19 September 1947, the Municipal Court in Głogówek, with Judge Włodzimierz Doliński presiding and with the participation of a reporter, senior court registrar Feliks Turczyn, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations, the witness testified as follows:

In 1944, up until 1945, I worked as a chauffeur in the Lenz construction company from Katowice. The company sent me to work for this whole time in the Auschwitz camp. My role was to transport the material which was delivered to the camp by train to various places on the camp premises. The camp had its own railway siding. I didn’t spend the nights on the camp premises but had private lodgings in town. I transported only building material, coal etc. from the railway siding. I didn’t transport bodies. I have never heard the surnames of Erich Muhsfeldt, Maximilian Grabner and Herbert Ludwig.
The witness was presented with photographs of the above-named men which are attached to the files. Having seen the photographs, the witness declares as follows: I recall only Maximilian Grabner, whom I saw on the camp premises. I don’t know what posts he held in the camp. I also don’t know anything about his activities on the camp premises. I cannot say anything about them because I was forbidden to move away from my car.
