On 20 September 1947 in Lublin, A Sadowski, Investigative Judge of the Fourth Branch of the District Court in Lublin, interviewed the person specified below as an unsworn witness. Having been advised of the criminal liability for making false declarations, the witness testified as follows:
Name and surname | Stanisław Rodak |
Age | 26 |
Parents’ names | Franciszek and Helena |
Place of residence | Dziesiąta |
Occupation | farmer |
Criminal record | none |
Relationship to the parties | none |
I worked at the Majdanek camp for three years as a carter because, as a resident of Dziesiąta, I was forced to bring in various building materials. Consequently, I had an opportunity to come across Erich Muhsfeldt, a fat figure of criminal facial features and grim appearance. He maltreated the wretches cruelly, beating them bestially with some knout or peg. He beat people to death for no apparent reason, it was enough not to doff your hat to him to be killed on the spot. I recognize Muhsfeldt in the photograph presented to me.
The report was read out.
