Arrested at the beginning of 1943, I was initially put in the Tomaszów Mazowiecki prison as a political prisoner. After two months, I was sent to the concentration camp in Auschwitz.
After nine months in Auschwitz, along with other prisoners, I was deported to the concentration camps in Germany.
I met Orlowski four months before my departure from Auschwitz. Working in the potato room, I saw her quite often. She wore an SS-uniform, calf boots, and a gun on her belt. There was always a stick or a rubber baton in her hand. She never hit me, but I often saw her beat, push and maltreat other prisoners.
Once, I saw her beating a woman. The woman fell down to the ground but she kept beating her. I couldn’t see the whole scene because SS men prevented us from watching and I was afraid of being beaten too.
The next time I saw her was after her arrest, in the guardhouse here. I immediately recognized her and I have no doubts about who she is. I claim that the arrestee is the SS woman about whom I testify in the report. I am ready to repeat my testimony to her face.
I conclude at that. The report was read out before signing.
