On 2 October 1947 in Gniezno, the Magistrates’ Court in Gniezno, Fourth Branch, represented by Judge/Court Assessor Barczyńska, with the participation of a reporter, court clerk E. Maciejewska, interviewed the person named below as a witness. Having advised the witness of the criminal liability for making false declarations, the judge swore the witness in accordance with Art. 113 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, whereupon the witness testified as follows:

From February 1941 until December 1944 I was detained at Auschwitz I. I was subsequently transferred to Buchenwald and [from there to] other camps. I was last in Litoměřice in the Czech Republic, where I was liberated.
I met Hans Aumeier in his capacity as camp commandant [of Auschwitz I], and I learned by hearsay that in May or June 1942 in Rajsko he had personally shot at prisoners from the SK [Strafkompanie] penal company after they had organized a revolt.
Max Grabner was the head of the Political Department in the camp and a monster. He was inimical to Poles and made sure that a large number of transports made up of Poles got dispatched to Germany.
I cannot testify anything about the others because I don’t know their names and would only be able to say anything more specific about them if I saw them.
