About a week after executions by hanging which took place on 12, 13, 14 and 15 October 1942 in Radom and Rożki, a German in a uniform – I cannot recall if he was a Gestapo functionary or a gendarme, but I’m inclined to believe that he was a member of Wehrmacht – brought a roll of photographic film to the Łagodziński firm where I work in order to have it developed. Having developed the photographs, I discovered that they showed the gallows which had been used several days earlier for the execution of 20 Poles in Radom and Rożki near Radom. I had been present at the execution site next to the Warsaw road back when the corpses had been hanging there, so I was able to identify the gallows in the photograph. I also recognized the background of the gallows set up next to the Kielce road. Information concerning the execution in Rożki helped me identify the photograph of the third gallows set up over the railway tie. This was a photograph of the gallows in Rożki. The fact that the photographs of all three gallows were on one strip of film suggests that the photographs had been taken within short intervals of time.

I would like to clarify that the gallows set up in Rożki was photographed from two sides, so it appeared in two photographs.

I copied the positive of the photographs and kept it. After the Germans fled, I copied the photographs of the gallows and delivered the copies to the Research and Social Institute in Radom, which collected evidence of German crimes.

The witness was shown the photographs of the gallows in Radom, located by the Warsaw road and the Kielce road, and the photographs of the gallows in Rożki, labelled “Rożki I” and “Rożki II”. He then testified:

The photographs which have been shown to me are identical to the photographs which I had received from the German soldier for the purpose of developing.

I didn’t develop the photograph of the gallows in Radom near the armament factory.

The report was read out.
