Regarding missing persons list no 2942/1638

I hereby list the information concerning my husband Marian Miżołębski [sic].

1. My husband was son of Władysław and Aleksandra, born 2 August 1911 in Lublin. Latest place of residence: Dębszczyzna.
2. Education: [completed] matura [,] Teacher Seminar in Lublin.
3. School principal and a teacher in Dębszczyzna. 1 January 1936 lok 3533 Dz. Pers. T.j.

5136. He was nominated a reserve ensign in the 7th [Infantry] Regiment of the Legions in Chełm. My husband would go through military training every two years in July (holidays).

In 1939, after undergoing the training, due to uncertain circumstances in Poland, he wasn’t discharged, but transferred directly to a military unit of 44th Riflemen of American Legion in Równe, where he remained in the rank of ensign.

4. By the end of August 1939 until 3 September 1939, I was staying in Równe with my 2-year-old daughter Danusia, then I went back to Lublin. I received one letter from my husband, from Kozielsk, with the date of 21 November 1939. I received no more news until I read in “Głos Lubelski” issue of 29 May 1943, that my husband had been executed in Katyń (no. 1638).

I attach a photograph of my husband.
