My memories of the German occupation

The Germans came and surrounded the village with their cars. They went from home to home and took the men to their cars. About half of the Germans went to Kalinka to get people. When they were leading them to the cars, the children followed and kept crying, so that they would let their fathers go home. When they came to Zaliszcze, they caught men and took them to Wisznice, and from Wisznice to Biała [Podlaska], where they got imprisoned. After a few days, they brought these prisoners back to Wisznice and ordered the people from three municipalities to come and watch them shoot those prisoners next to the wall. When they led [them] out of the car blindfolded and shot them under the wall, people were crying and looking at this tragedy.
