My memories of the German occupation

When the Germans came to Pachole, they surrounded the village and ordered people to gather near the school. Some people went there, while others tried to run away. When the village residents got there, women started to cry because they thought the Germans would kill the men. They called out women, and they had them interrogated, and then men, who were to be killed. When the Germans took them away, the women could not stop crying. When the Germans left, one of the shot men crawled to the village because he only had a minor wound. He saw his mother the next day, and she was so glad that her son was alive, that she cried with joy.
