My wartime experiences
My wartime experiences in 1944.
The Germans attacked the Soviets. After a couple of years, the Soviets started pushing the Germans away, and the front line ran through Wisznice. I was sitting in a trench, and missiles were hitting the ground a hundred meters away from me. Then the Soviet tanks arrived and I went there, as the Soviets were shooting in the direction of Horodyszcze. It all happened one Sunday evening. On Monday morning, I grazed the cows in the craters where the missiles had hit the ground. One of them did not explode, so I took the cows home.
