My most important wartime experience

It was in 1944. One day, the Germans took 30 hostages from the local villages. Then, they ordered people to come to Wisznice. People were afraid to come because they did not know why [they were supposed to do it]. Everyone was fearful. Everyone was afraid. When many people came, a car came and parked by the Czyż family house. There were 30 hostages in the car. One of the Germans [gave a speech], then they shot those 30 people to death.
