My most important wartime experience

On 22 June 1941, the Germans declared war on Russia. The battle began during the night, and Soviet planes flew overhead. At 10 a.m., German planes fought the Soviet air force. There was a fire in the air, then a Soviet plane crashed into the meadows and burned. A few hours later, the Germans came there by taxi, but they did not catch the pilot. When the battle was raging, we were sitting in the shelter.

In the afternoon, there was another plane, but the Germans did not manage to shoot it down. The evening was drawing near and we could hear no gunfire. Several Soviet planes fell from the sky on that day.

I had many more adventures, but I will not describe them all, because I could write a book.
