My experiences from the war
It all happened in the township of Rokitno in 1943. One night some partisans came to our town and killed nine Germans. The fighting lasted for two hours. The next day the Germans surrounded the town and started going from house to house, trying to round up the menfolk. But they were unsuccessful, for all the men had run off to the forest. They took only eight. They accused them of being partisans and said that they had brought in the other partisans. These men were executed in the school courtyard. The Germans did not allow their bodies to be removed and buried them in the courtyard themselves.
