What do the mass graves tell us?

The Germans occupied Poland for five years, murdering and destroying the Polish nation. The Poles, unable to bear it, formed partisan units and, hiding in the forests, attacked the German barbarians.

Today’s graves remind us of the torment of unknown heroes. The word “hero” means that this Polish man or woman defended their homeland. Hundreds fell as they fought. In the heart of every Pole, the thought of Germans awakens revenge and hatred when a Pole looks sadly at those graves that lie quietly and peacefully in the cemetery. There are many people who do not realize that in these silent graves lie such great heroes who died defending the homeland and freedom for every Pole.
