My most memorable moment from the occupation
We were sleeping peacefully, when suddenly we heard a loud noise and a thud. Our door was kicked in. At first we didn’t know what was going on, but when we saw rifles pointing at daddy we got very scared. These were Germans; they illuminated the whole room with lamps. They ordered daddy to get dressed quickly and come with them. He did as told. Despite our begging and pleading, they took daddy to a taxi and left. Some time later we learned that daddy had been executed by shooting.
